Processing insulating materials

The thermal insulation of buildings with the aim to save heating energy is of significant importance in view of the increased awareness for sustainable developments and rising energy costs towards the end of the 20th century. The importance of this development has been highlighted by means of the simultaneously passed legal requirements concerning the thermal insulation of buildings.
Rising energy costs gave rise to the sharp increase in the demand for insulating materials. Based on the close cooperation with plant engineering firms and machine builders, we succeeded in designing a tool that cuts insulating material without loss of material.

The circular sawblade for insulating material 

AKE is offering these tools as circular sawbaldes or circular knives, depending on the specification of the respective insulating material. The available diameters range from 250 to 850 mm for a cutting process without chips.
