Quality criteria of plastic processing

Due to the great variety of chemical compositions, material combinations and fields of application, plastic processing requires special tooling concepts, adjusted to the application and the respective machine.

The quality criteria are – among others:

Finish cut

• Cutting edge without additional finishing process

Cutting edge thermally unloaded

• Heat must be conducted away via chips
• No adherence

Splinter-free edges

• Emersion edge without splintering

Tooth shape and number of teeth individually adjusted to the plastic material to be cut

• Sawblade design
• Machine equipment important for good cutting result

Sawing with minimal lubrication

• Better cutting quality
